He discusses PayPal, one of the companies he founded, and how it completely changed the way money exchanges hands around the world. Thiel also comments on his passion for chess and what he believes the twenty-first century has in store for us. Finally, Thiel gives advice to students interested in starting their own businesses.
Peter Thiel
American entrepreneur Peter Thiel is the cofounder and former CEO of PayPal. He is also the founder of Thiel Capital Management, president of Clarium Capital, managing partner of The Founders Fund, and a member of the board of directors of Facebook. Thiel was executive producer of the film Thank you for Smoking and coauthor of the book The Diversity Myth: Multiculturalism and the Politics of Intolerance. He has published articles in the Wall Street Journal, First Things, and Forbes. He was awarded the Herman Lay Award for Entrepreneurship and was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum. Thiel holds a JD from Stanford University.

A pesar de que su pagina es muy profesional y estetica, quisiera sugerirles un cambio: en vez de utilizar la palabra "registrarse" seria mas correcta "inscribirse". El cambio
pareceria poco importante pero en realidad tiene gran trasfondo: desde el adveniminto de medios masivos de comunicacion, Latinoamerica se ha visto sujeta a una enorme cantidad de informacion
proveniente de Estados Unidos (EEUU) la cual casi siempre incluye graves errores de traduccion. Esto ha fomentado el uso incorrecto de muchas palabras, y el uso de anglicismos. Como maestra de
espanol (en EEUU) me preocupa ver el deterioro que ha ocurrido en el uso correcto del idioma en el ultimo decenio. Contribuyamos a preservar nuestro idioma; por favor cambien en su esquina superior
izquierda la frase a "Inscribirse/Entrar". En nombre de las futuras generaciones de Latinoamericanos, GRACIAS.
