About this video
About the author

According to Robert A. Sirico, many people make the mistake of viewing a business person as an exploiter and a thief. He explains how the dignity of a human is expressed in his or her creative ability and how liberty is a gift that must be preserved. He traces the origin of the right understanding of economics to the first verse of the Bible and points out that God was the original entrepreneur because He created the earth and its species out of nothing. Finally, Sirico explains the reason why many clergy fail to understand the moral potential of a market economy and comments on the talents that have been given to humans by God.
