Douglas Spotted Eagle is well-know for his performing Native American music, accompanied by jazz, new age, pop, and world beat music. He received a Grammy Award for his production of Gathering of Nations Powwow, and from then on, he has released 13 albums under his own name, with the help of numerous collaborations.
