Guardian of Freedom: Dinner and Award Ceremony

The Acton Institute pays special tribute to one of its board members and president of Universidad Francisco Marroquín, Giancarlo Ibárgüen S., the recipient of this year’s Guardian of Freedom Award, for his constant focus and steadfast efforts towards the development and achievement of a free society. Representatives of the Cato Institute; the Liberty Fund; the Acton Institute, including its founder and president Reverend Robert A. Sirico; and founder and former president of Universidad Francisco Marroquín, Manuel F. Ayau, salute Ibárgüen, recognizing his remarkable leadership at the university and a life dedicated to the cause of freedom.
