Founder of the firm David Baker Architects in 1982, where they specialized in designing affordable housing projects. In 1996 was selected as Fellow of the American Institute of Architects. He studied a Bachelor of Philosophy at Thomas Jefferson College and later he mastered in architecture at Berkeley, University of California. He has been Associate Professor at this same university as well as University of Oklahoma, Visiting Critic at Georgia Institute of Technology and others.
