Founder and President, Ideas Beyond Borders

Faisal Saeed Al Mutar is a social entrepreneur and founder and president of Ideas Beyond Borders, a nonprofit that champions a positive alternative to extremism, authoritarianism, censorship, and violence in the Middle East. The organization’s content, produced by more than 200 activists and translators, has been viewed over 300 million times.

Faisal also writes The International Correspondent on Substack. He uses this outlet to offer a bold and well-informed foreign policy analysis, as well as stories of the triumph of the human spirit in the pursuit of freedom.  He contributes as a news aggregator at Global Conversations, an online discussion forum designed to spark lively, spirited discussions on controversial topics.

He is a 2024 Smart Bets Winner at Atlas Network and in 2015 received the volunteer service award from president Barack Obama for his work in education and contributions to many organizations around the world.
