Atlas Economic Research Foundation was founded by the late Sir Antony Fisher. The institution believes that the prospects for free societies depend upon «intellectual entrepreneurs» who wish to improve public policy debates through sound research; and since 1981, it has been the leading international organization for supporting independent think tanks in the advance of freedom. The foundation’s mission is “to discover, develop and support ‘intellectual entrepreneurs’ worldwide who can advance the Atlas vision of a society of free and responsible individuals.”
