Professor David Sumanth is the founder of the University of Miami Productivity Research Group, as well as the International Society for Productivity and Quality Research. He holds a BSME and a MSME from Osmania University and a MSIE and a Ph.D. from the Illinois Institute of Technology. Professor Sumanth is an expert in Industrial Engineering and has teached various courses regarding it, as Productivity Measurement & Evaluation, Productivity Engineering, Total Productivity Management and more. He has also received several awards, as the George Washington Honor Medal for Excellence in Economic Education in 1987, among others.
