Gary Hoover

Gary Hoover is the Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the Herb Kellerher Center for Entrepreneurship of the McCombs School of Business at University of Texas at Austin. Since childhood he has been interested in entrepreneurship and had founded several companies, including Bookstop, an enterprise that changed the nature of book shopping in the United States, and the Reference Press that later evolved into Hoover’s, Inc. Hoover has also ventured into the field of museums and currently travels around the world advising businesses, including Fortune 500 companies. He studied economics at University of Chicago.
