James J. Hanks Jr.

James J. Hanks, Jr. is adjunct professor of law at Cornell University and Northwestern University. He is also advisor in securities offerings and other financing transactions; he has served as corporate counsel to Capital Automotive, Arden Realty, Town and Country Trust, Bedford Properties, MeriStar Hospitality, among others. He is author of the 600-page treatise Maryland Corporation Law and co-author of the third edition of Legal Capital. Hanks holds an AB from Princeton University, a LL.B. from the University of Maryland, and an LL.M. from Harvard University.
