Preston Scott Cohen

Preston Scott Cohen is the Gerald M. McCue Professor at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design. He is the principal of Preston Scott Cohen, Inc. of Cambridge, MA. He was Chair of Architecture from 2008 to 13.   Cohen has held faculty positions at Princeton University, Rhode Island School of Design, and Ohio State University. He was the Frank Gehry International Chair at the University of Toronto in 2004 and the Perloff Professor at the University of California, Los Angeles in 2002. His Projects under construction or recently completed include the Datong City Library, The Tel Aviv Museum of Art Amir Building, the Taiyuan Museum of Art, and the Cape Rep Theater in Brewster, Massachusetts.  He is the author of Contested Symmetries, the forthcoming Lightfall, The Return of Nature co-edited with Erika Naginski and numerous theoretical essays including Attenuated Architecture, Dexterous Architecture, Successive Architecture and The Hidden Core of Architecture. His work has been widely published and exhibited and is held in numerous museum collections around the world.
