Stephen R. Covey

Stephen R. Covey (1932-2012) was the author of the bestseller The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People which has revolutionized societies around the world. He was also a well-known lecturer and consultant. His work was focused on giving people the capacity to achieve effectiveness and success in their professional, family, and personal lives. Covey was a member of the board of directors of Points of Light Foundation, and cofounder and vice chairman of FranklinCovey. He held a MBA from Harvard University and a doctorate degree from Brigham Young University. He was awarded eight honorary doctorate degrees and received numerous prizes, including the International Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 1994. He was named one of Time Magazine’s 25 most influential Americans in 1996. He was author and coauthor of various books, including First Things First with A. Roger and Rebecca R. Merrill, Principle-Centered Leadership, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Families, and The 8th Habit.
