Jeff Sandefer describes what it means to be a good teacher and the importance of approaching the classroom with humility rather than arrogance. Sandefer challenges the idea that the purpose of education is to prepare students to serve society. Instead, he explains that a teacher’s job is to ask questions and to inspire. Sandefer describes new teaching tools and techniques he is developing and explains how teachers know when they have failed or succeeded.
