Writing to Connect

Malachy Walsh visited Universidad Francisco Marroquín to give a workshop that he developed while he worked at a Ad agency and was very successful, on how to put your thoughts together and write better. He explains the deficiency he has found in education at this area because people can write grammatically, but it is difficult to them to do it in a way that's easy to understand and coherent. To prepare it he approached people who make a living out of writing, to get advise and teach students techniques and tools to improve this aspect. About the ability of good writing, he says:

I think anybody can write well.”

He gives some references of professionals who have used the methods he proposes, such as the producers of the famous T.V serie "Breaking bad".  Later comments on one of the practices he recommends the most and people should apply to become good writers:

There’s a very old way that writers learned how to come up with beautiful language, and they’re called «schemes and tropes»”.

He is a firm believer that everyone can be a good writer if we apply certain methods and commit to use them in our everyday tasks. Walsh has learned from professionals in the field who use techniques such as "capture and sort", to get better results in the creative process of writing. Do you want to be a better writer? Don't miss Malachy's advice and experience!
