Ronald Reagan

Ronald Wilson Reagan was the 40th President of the United States as well as the 33rd Governor of California. Before his political career, he participated in broadcasting and was a spokesman for General Electrics. During his presidency, he implemented new political and economic policies that were dubbed «Reaganomics,» as the substantial tax cuts that took place in 1981. Reagan was re-elected in 1984 and his second term was marked by the ending of Cold War and by a number of administration scandals, as the Iran-Contra Affair, the support for anti-Communist movements worldwide, and more. He died on June 5, in 2004 and today he ranks highly among former U.S. presidents in terms of approval rating.
