The event is opened with an encomium read by Manuel Ayau, in which he shares some of Cribb’s academic contributions. Furthermore, Cribb offers an acceptance speech focused on the moral responsibility and leadership that former US president Ronald Reagan had in proving all experts wrong, when he predicted in 1977 that the United States would win the Cold War. He also reads an excerpt from President Reagan’s Berlin Wall Speech, which proves that he was able to form an image of a perfect moral order and to work hardly to achieve it. |
