Architecture of the Mind, Heart and Gut

New Media  | 19 de noviembre de 2012  | Vistas: 73

Fook Weng Chan, architect and urban designer, shows students several of his projects, some of the different types of houses he has designed. He encourages the audience to realize the importance of architects' heart, mind and gut in their creations, and comments on how he likes his work to reflect serenity, essence, edge and other basic elements, in order to create unique, dynamic and timeless places. Another feature of the houses he builds is that they are based and inspired on each clients' own personality, since he believes people and context are decisive in buildings and home design. He concludes by advising to always put one's best effort and skills to ensure the endurance of the structures.
