She is the director of the Department of  Formación Continua at the Universidad Francisco Marroquín. Previously, she worked as an assistant teacher at Council Oak Montessori School, Chicago, USA, was an intern at Actom Academy, Austin Texas,  and facilitator of Acton Academy Guatemala. Carmen Rodríguez  also has a Bachelor of Science (BS), Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from Michael Polanyi College.
