Leonor Pereira is an insurance defense attorney at Samuelsen, Gonzalez, Valenzuela & Brown, LLP. Her areas of expertise include both plaintiff and defense workers’ compensation claims, discrimination actions, and willful violations. She was president of the Latina Lawyers Political Action Committee and vice mentoring chair of the National Women’s Political Caucus (metro chapter). Currently, she serves as the treasurer for the Mexican American Bar Association (MABA). Pereira has a juris doctor degree from Southwestern University School of Law.

María del Pilar Bonilla is professor of law at Universidad Francisco Marroquín and member of the Latin American and Caribbean Law and Economics Association. She is also senior associate of Bonilla, Montano, Toriello & Barrios and research fellow with the Fundación para el Desarrollo de Guatemala. Her research interests include commercial law and the economic analysis of law. Bonilla has a law degree from Universidad Francisco Marroquín along with a masters and doctorate in law from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
