Eric Graf, professor of the course Discover Don Quijote de la Mancha interviews one of the main illustrators of this MOOC (Massive, Open, Online, Course), Christopher Roelofs to go deep into his work, experience drawing Miguel de Cervantes’ novel and the relation between art and liberty.

It’s a certain individuality that comes with being an artist; it's self expression, just taking that time and being yourself all through your life, not just in isolated situations, it’s a lifestyle, a mindset”.

Later they discuss art censorship, where Roelofs shares some of the moments he’s felt people has tried to repress his art. He talks about his areas of expertise in art and construction:

I really feel as an artist you need to master everything.”

Christopher has illustrated more than 50 moments of Cervantes’ Don Quijote, which are used in the discussion forums of the course’s platform; this has been a great experience and challenge in his career. He shares how his perspective on this important novel has changed and the lessons of liberty identified in it and some of his next projects.
