Paul Craig Roberts

Paul Craig Roberts is an economist and syndicated columnist for Creators Syndicate. He was Assistant Secretary of the Treasury during the first administration of President Ronald Reagan. Former Associate Editor of the Wall Street Journal and columnist for Business Week and Scripps Howard News Service; he was John M. Olin Fellow at the Institute for Political Economy; William E. Simon Chair of the Center for Strategic and International Studies at Georgetown University; and Senior Research Fellow at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University. Among the various awards he has received are the Legion of Honor by French President Francois Mitterrand; the Warren Brookes Award for Excellence in Journalism; and the recognition as one of the top seven journalists, by the Forbes Media Guide. He is author of the books: “The Tyranny of Good Intentions: How Prosecutors and Bureaucrats Are Trampling the Constitution in the Name of Justice”, “Alienation and the Soviet Economy”, among others; he also has published several articles in digital journals and newspapers, including: Antiwar.com, VDARE.com, Lew Rockwell’s website, CounterPunch, and the American Free Press. Dr. Roberts holds a B.S. from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. from the University of Virginia.
