The Guatemalan Guitar Orchestra, directed by William Orbaugh, offered a guitar ensemble concert at Universidad Francisco Marroquín, where there were performed various musical pieces from international composers: Spanish Dance Suite, from Gaspar Sanz; Sinfonnieta for Guitar Orchestra, from Hans Schmid-Kaiser; Pavane for a Dead Princess, from Maurice Ravel; and excerpts of Love, The Sorcerer, from Manuel de Falla. There were also presented two Guatemalan songs: Dawn, from Lester Godínez and Moon over Xelajú, from Paco Pérez, and a dramatization of the Guatemalan processional folklore was included in the development of the concert.
