Interview with Jeff Sandefer during APEE Annual Conference 2009

New Media  | 05 de abril de 2009  | Vistas: 187

Jeff Sandefer describes what it means to be a good teacher and the importance of approaching the classroom with humility rather than arrogance. Sandefer challenges the idea that the purpose of education is to prepare students to serve society. Instead, he explains that a teacher’s job is to ask questions and to inspire. Sandefer describes new teaching tools and techniques he is developing and explains how teachers know when they have failed or succeeded. Finally, he touches on the relationship between entrepreneurship and teaching.
