Entrepreneurial Perspective on Current Research on Disruptive Technologies

New Media  | 17 de junio de 2013  | Vistas: 16

Christian Sandström refers to the struggles that many large and established business have faced, in terms of technological change and innovation, and how their tardiness to catch up with the evolution of markets have cost them greatly, as the dominant technology has been displaced by small-scale novelties. He elaborates on Joseph Schumpeter’s term of creative destruction and connects it to the topic discussed, stressing on how the original source of economic growth is innovation, and that ineluctably old technology is shifted on to a new one. He concludes by suggesting material in order to learn more about disruptive technologies.
