He is a writer, journalist and politician that has been Conservative MEP for South East England since 1999. He is also the Secretary-General of the Alliance of European Conservatives and Reformists (AECR), an advocate of localism and a Eurosceptic. He is the author of several books including How We Invented Freedom & Why it Matters, and Why Vote Leave, published by Head of Zeus.
