Panayiotis “Pano” Kanelos

President of University of Austin (UATX)

Panayiotis “Pano” Kanelos is founding president of University of Austin (UATX) and founding director of Interdisciplinary Shakespeare Studies Program at Loyola University Chicago. He has served as president of St. John’s College in Annapolis and dean of Honors College at Valparaiso University. Pano has also been associate professor of theater at Loyola University Chicago, associate professor of English at the University of San Diego, and as a postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University. 

He has also authored and edited numerous books, articles, and essays on Shakespeare, including the Shakespeare and the Stage series, which publishes scholarly works on the theatrical dimensions of the plays of Shakespeare and his contemporaries.
