Haute Couture and Street Fashion

New Media  | 19 de agosto de 2009  | Vistas: 159

Fashion and style have always played important roles in society. In this video, Jennifer Wearden compares haute couture and street style. She explains that through time the two have come together in order to satisfy the demands of certain trends and, more importantly, provide people with clothing they need and want to wear. Wearden explores the evolution of haute couture and how different designers, such as Christian Dior and Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel, changed and influenced the fashion industry with their unique styles. Finally, she considers the impact of mass production in fashion and the future of both the fashion industry and haute couture.
