Monica Yunus

Monica Yunus is a soprano with the Metropolitan Opera in New York. Throughout her career she has interpreted important roles in well-known operas including Gilda in Rigoletto, Oscar in Un Ballo in Maschera, Zerlina in Don Giovanni, and many more. She has performed at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall, the Alice Tully Hall, New York’s Cooper-Hewitt Museum, the Manuel De Falla Hall in Spain, and the Auditorio Nacional in Madrid. Yunus has also won several awards and competitions, including the Florida Grand Opera Competition, the Palm Beach Opera Competition, the Lee Schaenen Foundation Award, and the Mirjam Helin International Competition in Helsinki, Finland. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Juilliard School.
