Raphael Raphael
Director, film and transmedia artist
Holds a Master’s, Teachers College from Columbia University, and a Ph.D. from the University of Oregon; MFA, Plymouth University. He is a film and transmedia artist who lectures at the University of Hawaii, Manoa, where he focuses on making connections between genre, culture, and disability. He currently serves as Associate Editor of Creative Works and Multimedia for the Review of Disability Studies. His writings include works in the film’s genre.
Dr. Raphael has been a visiting professor at Universidad Fransico Marroquín School of Film and Visual Arts and at The Akira Kurosawa School of Film. He also is the writer and director of a developing movie, Hidden Treasures of the Sweet Absolute, and the co-founder of Wonder Pictures.
