Evan Knight shares his advice on book conservation and preservation. He explains which environments are suitable and unsuitable for storing antique books, emphasizing that books last longer when stored properly and under the right conditions. He describes some of the resources available to the public on book preservation and conservation. He also explains the steps libraries and other institutions should take when receiving donations of antique books as well as how to preserve them while making them available to the public. Finally, Knight discusses the average life span of a book and how different materials affect durability.
