About this video

In this conference, Arnold C. Harberger talks about the ideas of freedom as well as some personal anecdotes regarding his economic teaching experience. He briefly comments on how economic processes work and also on how economic analysis can be used to choose economic policies. He analyzes the effective way in which the law of supply and demand works as well as the reasons behind such functionality. Harberger shares his personal opinions regarding his belief in the original sin and how the seeds of good and evil reside in everybody, which is the reason behind laws, regulations and customs. Furthermore, he talks about applied welfare economics, the shadow price of government funds, and the inferiority of public policy.
