Catherine Eckel narrates her newfound information regarding the spread and creation of worldwide terrorism. He starts by expounding the difficulties of studying it under normal lab requirements but she argues the impossibility to study in the field. It seems an unlikely pursuit of the lab because of its control environment. Catherine points out that there exists models of terrorism that can be studied under a scientific pursuit.
As theoretical backdrop she explores the policies of firms that wish to be safeguarded against attacks and global measures to counter terrorism. She explains that behavioural regularities do exist for the formation of future terrorists, for example environments that create the conditions for new reclutes. These conditions are interpersonal conflicts, economic and political inequalities, among others. The lab experiments are designed to measure the motivations behind the conflictual behaviour and in perspective learn the necessary measures and steps to end global terrorism by changing the rules of the game.
