About this video

Recently, El Mirador has become an important archaeological and cultural site in the Mayan Biosphere. This area has important preshispanic cities like El Mirador, Nakbe, and Tintal, which are connected through an intricate system of roads. The reforms of Cultural Heritage Laws have facilitated the development of cultural management plan in El Mirador that promote sustainable development, ecoturism, research, and the respect of International Conventions for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage.
