Craig Dykers is the founder of Snøhetta, the Norwegian architectural firm widely recognized for its trademark buildings: the Alexandria Library in Egypt and the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet in Oslo, Norway.  In this interview, hosted by Axel Paredes, Dykers explains the organizational culture of his firm and the collaboration between architects, landscapers, and interior designers.  He also compares the different architectural concepts he has used in many projects and discusses the role of technology in the design process, the role of art, and ecological and intellectual sustainability issues in architecture.  Finally, he discusses specific issues related to Guatemala, especially its architectural tradition, and offers recommendations for local architects.
